ETHOS

Pieces from Alliance of Kin are limited in number and sustainably crafted to last with a focus on conscious manufacturing options and the use of greener materials wherever possible.

We are ethical in our sourcing and production. Our t-shirts are crafted from 100 per cent organic cotton, grown with no chemical insecticides, fertilisers or pesticides, ensuring a safer environment for farmers and their families.

Our t-shirts are certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). From the harvesting of raw materials to environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, textiles certified to GOTS provide a credible assurance to the consumer. The t-shirts we sell have also been accredited by the Fair Wear Foundation. The Fair Wear Foundation’s mission is to see a world where the garment industry supports workers in realising their rights to safe, dignified, properly paid employment.

Our custom garments are designed in Australia and made in Bali at a small, family-owned business.

THE WEARER

The woman who wears Alliance of Kin is a lesson in the unexpected; laid back and well-spoken, but also fiercely loyal and intelligent.

She is charismatic yet unassuming; full of soul, but also lots of fun. She leads a busy and adventurous life, so needs her wardrobe to be a treasure trove of instant inspiration and quality.

THE KIN

Gabrielle Turner and Caitlin Francis grew up in Far North Queensland and have been friends for almost 30 years. Gabrielle is an interior designer and business owner, while Caitlin worked in journalism for almost a decade. They share a love of music, saltwater, clothing and gin.

After years living in Melbourne and Brisbane, and travelling the world when they can, they have both settled back in Queensland. They are kin – connected through the beauty of life’s highs and lows.
